Seduction - The Cruel Woman

This highly stylized and dreamlike exploration of sadomasochism stars Mechthild Grossmann as Wanda -- a glamorous dominatrix and proprietor of the local "gallery" of bondage. As she moves from lesbian relationship to relationship, the film plumbs the depths of the dark side of sexual desire. Sheila McGlaughlin (She Must Be Seeing Things) also stars in this slick visual fantasy which is inspired as much by the photography of Helmut Newton as by Leopold Sacher-Masochs 1869 work, "Venus in Furs."
