Road To Berlin

The Eastern Front witnessed fighting and suffering on a scale almost inconceivable in the west. This was the most brutal theater of WWII. It claimed 28 million lives and redrew the maps of Europe for over a half century. Based on previously classified Soviet film archives, this program illustrates the battles, the campaigns, the daring gambles, and the unimaginable horrors that awaited the Soviet armies as they began their long march from Stalingrad to Berlin.
