Psychotic Connections
Wes Craven's Chiller
Miles Creighton (Michael Beck) has been kept on ice in cryogenic suspension for 10 years since his death. A leak is discovered at the plant causing him to be prematurely thawed, resulting in a coma. The ministrations of a kind nurse bring him around, and soon he is back to his health and running the family business. But Miles soon demonstrates that he has the cold uncaring mentality of a soulless corporate leader with a murderous vengeance.
Maniac
Dr. Meirschultz (Horace B. Carpenter) is attempting to bring dead tissue to life. After murdering him, his assistant (Bill Woods) takes over his persona and walls up the dead doc in vague similarity to Poe's "The Black Cat." The impostor's increasing dementia is subsequently chronicled through a unique mix of horror film, mental illness warning, and girly show that only sexploitation producer Dwain Esper could have created.
Gothic
On June 16th, 1816 Percy Bysshe Shelly, his wife Mary and her stepsister Claire Clairmont visited eccentric poet Lord George Gordon Byron and his physician Dr. John Polidari at Byron's Swiss villa of Diodati. After much drinking of the opium-based laudanum the group holds a seance to confront their deepest fears. What ensues will result in Mary's penning of her classic novel "Frankenstein" and Polidari's authoring of "The Vampyre", which is said to have inspired Bram Stoker's "Dracula".
