One Step Beyond - The Official First Season

Premiering ten months before The Twilight Zone, One Step Beyond was the first and only series of its time to focus exclusively on psychic phenomena. Yet as host and director John Newland informed me during an interview in 1999, there was a caveat. The stories had to be real, and there had to be proof. Built on paranormal research, One Step Beyonds dramatizations have endured not merely because they are authentic, but because, according to Newland, the series had a strong artistic foundation: good actors, good movement, solid dialogue and the vast experience of its creative team.

Remastered for DVD on its 50th anniversary, series fans finally have this official release as a matter of human record and as a vital piece of our entertainment library.
