Nila Aalia, Ronke Adekoluejo, Nikki Amuka-Bird. Leah and Keisha were childhood friends from Kilburn in Northwest London. As the two girls grew, Keisha broke loose from her situation and became a barrister. Married to another barrister, she had wealth and children. Leah, still in Kilburn and also married, refused to have children in the crime-heavy, drug-infested neighborhood. A personal crisis draws the two friends together again and they see how their very different lives still revealed some of the same negatives for both. Based on the book by Zadie Smith.
