Lucha Libre - Life Behind The Mask

The wearer of the mask upholds a tradition and a persona, which extends far beyond his personal victories and triumphs. Over the years, certain personas have attained cult-like status in the community, and in the documentary we follow one of these figures both in and outside of the ring to witness what the life of the Luchador is really like.

As the wrestlers live their daily lives at work, practice for upcoming matches, and enter the ring, our cameras are with them every step of the way. The action in the ring accentuates the brutality and highlights the artistry of the sport, while the behind the scenes footage provides a rare glimpse into the everyday life of Luchador. We not only learn about the mask, but also the man behind the mask.
