I Love Lucy - The Movie

In 1953, three classic first season I Love Lucy episodes ("The Benefit", "Breaking The Lease", and "the Ballet") were edited together with newly-filmed introductory and connecting scenes to create this hilarious feature-length film. It was lost for nearly half a century after Desilu decided not to release it into theaters that year to avoid competition with Lucy and Desis first MGM movie, The Long, Long Trailer.

This special DVD not only includes that movie, but also the only full-length colorized I Love Lucy episode, the series first commercial, rare highlights from Lucy and Desis appearance on The Ed Wynn Show, and footage of Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, and Vivian Vance accepting their Emmy awards.
