Before World War II, in a Catholic Boys´ school just outside Paris, the friendship between bright philosophy student André Sevrais and his younger schoolmate Souplier arouses the jealousy of the Abbot de Pradts. Secretly in the thrall of young Souplier, the Abbott lays a trap for Sevrais, under the disapproving eye of the Father Superior (Michel Aumont of The Closet and Man Is A Woman).
Christophe Malavoy, who directs this film and plays the Abbot, has received the "Most Promising Male Actor" prize at the César Awards (France´s equivalent of our Academy Awards).
