Set in exotic Brazil, director Sérgio Bianchi’s bitterly sarcastic political comedy skewers race and class relations with witty precision as it presents a society in chaos. The story revolves around six characters who serve as a microcosm of modern Brazil, a people besieged by corruption, exploitation, sexual oppression and social discord. How these characters interact and strive for identity is at the core of a controversial, original and unsettling look at the class struggle that is as funny as it is intelligent.
