Bauhaus: A New Era

In the wake of World War I, art student Dörte Helm (Anna Maria Mühe) was thrilled to be attending the Weimar college that was now coming under the auspices of revolutionary architect Walter Gropius (August Diehl). The ensuing years that found the genesis of the institution's impact on a century's aesthetics-and her falling into an affair with her mentor-receive a compelling dramatization.
