Annika Bengtzon - Crime Reporter - Episodes 1-3

Based on author Liza Marklunds best-selling crime novels, Annika Bengtzon is a journalist and working mother of two struggling to keep her marriage alive. Fearless in her search for the truth, she wont take no for an answer from anyone: not from prestigious academicians or drug dealers or from colleagues inside her own profession. Her passion for getting the story may bring her into dangerous situations, but it ultimately allows her to peer into the heart of every crime. Annikas not afraid to square off with hardened criminals, but her toughest challenge seems to be trying to balance the job with her sometimes tumultuous private life.

EPISODE 1: NOBELS LAST WILL - While covering the annual Nobel Prize Banquet, Annika witnesses the spectacular murder of two prestigious individuals right in front of her. Shes a key witness, so shes bound by the police not to disclose anything. Its the story of a lifetime, and she cant write a word.

EPISODE 2: PRIME TIME - On her way to a family gathering, Annika has to leave her two children in the care of her boyfriend so she can report on the murder of a famous TV host. The ten people whod just spent the night at a mansion where the hosts program is taped are under suspicion; Annika learns that her best friend is among them.

EPISODE 3: STUDIO SEX - When a stripper from a club called Studio Sex is killed, the case becomes political dynamite after the police find out that the Minister of Trade visited the club on the night of the murder. Working the story also brings up bad memories for Annika and she finds herself taking it all personally.
